Caged Ladders Norme Française

FORTAL's competitively priced caged ladders are made of high-performance materials and designed to meet current standards.  Known for their quality and safety, they effectively combine robustness, light weight, and strength.  Because they come pre-assembled, FORTAL caged ladders are quickly and easily erected.

15 minutes are all you need to erect a 5 metre ladder (excludes time required to fix ladder to wall)

5 simple steps to erect your ladder (see demonstration video):

1.  Unpack ladder:  Ladder is delivered folded up and in a single package.

  1. Ladder sections are connected by couplers.
  2. Exit frame and cage hoops are pre-assembled onto ladder stiles.
  3. Brackets for cage straps are pre-assembled onto hoops.

2.  Unfold ladder:  Simply unfold ladder sections and secure joints by tightening the bolts.

3.  Position hoops:  Once ladder is straightened out, fold up hoops and tighten bolts.

4.  Fasten cage straps:  Cage straps are made of "C"-profile, so simply insert them onto the bevel nuts provided on hoops.

5.  Attach wall brackets:  All that's left to do is fasten the wall brackets to the ladder stiles using the clamps provided.  Wall brackets can be attached anywhere on stile.

YOUR LADDER IS NOW READY TO BE FIXED TO THE WALL.

FORTAL's pre-assembled ladders can also be delivered as a kit.  Available in aluminium, steel, and stainless steel.

  • Safe, easy and quick access

Ladder Change-Over: As per the standard, ladder flights must not exceed a height of 9 metres. The ladder change-over is therefore designed as two cages joined at a height of 2 metres, allowing you to switch from one flight to a second, staggered one. An exception is made for buildings higher than 9 metres that are too narrow to accomodate a change-over, in which case a single flight with a fold-up rest platform every 6 metres is permitted.

Wall Brackets: Right-angle brackets made of 40 x 8 mm aluminium flat bar are provided to fix ladder to wall. These 200 mm long brackets (other lengths available upon request) are clamped to ladder stiles. Using clamps allows brackets to be positioned anywhere on ladder stiles. However, they must be spaced approximately 2000 mm apart.
